5 Reveals From The Infinity War Tie-In Comic That You Need To Know Before Watching Infinity War

Most of the MCU tie-in comics of Marvel usually don’t receive a great reception from comic book readers and MCU fans because most of these issues don’t cover topics of significant importance. Surprisingly, the recently released Avengers Infinity War tie-in comic has received an unprecedented level of importance. This is mainly due to the hype for the third Avengers movie and also because MCU fans were eager to learn about what happened to our heroes after the end of Captain America Civil War.

As you probably know, the events of Civil War happened almost a year ago and it has entirely changed the landscape of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Half the Avengers are currently fugitives while the rest are recovering from physical and emotional injuries. Marvel fans who wish to learn about the fallout of Civil War should definitely check out the new MCU tie-in comic. Let us take a quick look at some of the best reveals from the latest Avengers Infinity War tie-in comic.

Hawkeye Is Retired

We all thought that Clint Barton, who is a fugitive, will be on the run with Steve and his team but as per the comic, Hawkeye has gone home. Hawkeye can be seen with his beloved wife and kids in the comic but fan theories and rumours speculate that Clint’s happiness won’t last that long. Rumours indicate that the archer will come out of retirement and adopt a new identity (possibly Ronan) after losing his family in a tragic event. Moreover, it has also been indicated that Scott Lang /Ant-Man has also returned home to take care of his daughter.

Vision is in Human Form

The relation between Wanda and Vision is one the most bizarre and iconic relationships in the history of Marvel comics. There were subtle hints in both Avengers Age of Ultron and Civil War that indicated that they will soon become a couple. However, it seems that Wanda and Vision are finally together and they are seen holding hands and strolling through the streets of a European City. Surprisingly, Vision is in human form with the glowing Infinity gem in his head.

Shuri is Helping Bucky

Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther will release by the middle of February and the film will be introducing a few allies of T’Challa. One of the most important allies of Black Panther is Wakanda’s foremost scientist Shuri ( T’Challa’s sister) who is credited as more smarter than Tony Stark. From the tie-in comic, it is evident that Shuri is the one who is helping Bucky Winter Soldier to reverse the effects that Hydra had on him.

Captain Is Still Fighting

The official Avengers team of Steve Rogers/ Captain America that contain the super spy, Natasha Romanoff and Sam Wilson has not yet stopped fighting even if they are on the run from the government. The most interesting thing to note is that none of them are wearing any costumes, which means that Cap has left his iconic suit. So, Steve might possibly be suiting up as Nomad throughout Avengers Infinity War.

Tony and Steve Are Ready To Fix Things

The final confrontation between Captain, Tony, and Bucky in the end of Civil War has left open several wounds. However, the ending of the movie illustrated that Steve Rogers will always be there for Tony Stark if he ever needed him. The guilty conscious of Tony and the imminent threat of Thanos will urge Tony to pick up the phone that Cap gave to him to join forces against the Mad Titan.

Why Brie Larson Is Not Wearing The Iconic Captain Marvel Costume

Captain Marvel is one of the most anticipated upcoming MCU movies and the Academy Award winner, Brie Larson will be playing the iconic Marvel female superhero, Captain Marvel. The first set photos from the movie were recently released by MCU. In the first set photos, we finally got a glimpse at Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. Moreover, the set images also gave us a clear idea on the costume that she will be wearing in the movie

Even though the design of her suit did match with the classic costume worn by Captain Marvel in the comics, the colour schemes of the suit looks way different from the iconic comic costume. Instead of the iconic yellow, blue, and red coloured comic book costume, Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers is strolling around the set in a teal and navy green coloured costume.

The decision made by the MCU and filmmakers to switch the costume doesn’t make sense. It is crucial to mote that the new colour schemes used by MCU heavily deviates from Captain Marvel’s classic costume. So, if you are a huge fan of Carol Danvers, there is a good chance that you will be deeply disappointed with the first set images of this upcoming MCU movie. However, before we jump into any sort of conclusions about the costume, let us try to examine the logic behind the new suit.

As you probably know, Captain Marvel movie will be featuring the Kree and it will also include the Kree-Skrull War, which will reveal how Carol Danvers becomes Captain Marvel. So, the green shaded costume might be just a kree version of the original suit. Besides, there is also a possibility that Carol might have taken the uniform from a Kree soldier or maybe she may have enlisted in the Kree Army. Another interesting theory floating around the web suggests that Captain Marvel may have gone off-world with the Kree and she will return to the present day in the fourth Avengers movies that follows Avengers Infinity War.

On the other hand, several die-hard MCU fans have united in support of the new suit and they claim that the suit worn by Captain Marvel is actually a nod to the original Captain Marvel, “Mar-Vell”. Mar-Vell, who is a kree warrior, will also be appearing in the film and the role will be played by Jude Law. Fans have also been speculating that the suit will be passed on from Mar-Vell to Carol Danvers. However, it seems that we will need to wait until the release of Captain Marvel to know the story behind the new suit. Captain Marvel will release on 6 March, 2019.

Hugh Jackman Might Play Wolverine In MCU

Superhero fans, film lovers, and comic nerds where shell shocked and left shattered when Hugh Jackman announced that he will no longer play the role of Wolverine after Logan. Even though the Australian actor who has played Logan/Wolverine in about 10 ten films has continuously claimed that Logan will be his final appearance as the Wolverine. However, Hugh Jackman did comment that he loves to see Wolverine with the Avengers but that didn’t happen until the year 2017.

In a recent turn of events, Disney, who currently own Marvel signed a new deal with Fox, which is the company that owns X-Men. The acquisition of Fox by Disney meant a lot to Marvel comic book fans because it meant that X-Men and Avengers might probably share the screen in the upcoming Avengers movies. Likewise, several fans also thought that this might urge Hugh Jackman to come back as Wolverine/Logan. Unfortunately, Hugh stated that he is no longer interested in reprising the role of Wolverine.

Nevertheless, Sebastian Stan who plays the role of Winter Soldier in the MCU recently stated that Hugh Jackman is having second thoughts and he seems a bit interested in reprising his role as Wolverine/Logan in the Marvel films that comes after Avengers Infinity War. At the Ace Comic Con Panel, Sebastian Stan said, “Recently I happened to be sitting next to Hugh Jackman. I didn't know what other awkward thing I could talk about but to be like, 'Am I going to see you soon?' I don't know. But he said a couple of things to me and I'll just leave it at that. Otherwise, I feel like I'm going to get into trouble with somebody.

Sebastian Stan also added, I asked him because I kept thinking he said whether or not that was, Logan, was supposed to be the last Wolverine thing or whatever and he said to me, well I think he publicly said out there, which was like he's been thinking about it and it's been on his mind. So, I don't, he may be. It is true that Hugh Jackman had recently said that the ship has sailed for him when asked about returning back to comic book world and putting up the claws. However, these statements from the Winter Soldier might mean that we might still be able to see Hugh back in action as the Wolverine.

Chris Evans Teases That He Will Be Playing Nomad in Avengers Infinity War

A recent autograph signed by Sebastian Stan and Chris Evans has finally confirmed one of the most popular Avengers Infinity war theories. There have been plenty of Infinity war theories floating around the internet since the official launch of the trailers. Marvel fans have been speculating on who will survive Avengers Infinity War, who will put an end to Thanos’s destruction, and a lot more over the last few weeks.

One of the fascinating theories, which many of us have thought would come to fruition, was that Steve Rogers/Captain America will finally take up on the mantle of Nomad. Comic book superheroes have often changed their name and take up different mantles over time. Nomad is one of the most popular and fan favorite mantle ever took up by Steve Rogers/ Captain America.

An Instagram user mkgschultre shared an image of her shield, which was blessed with the autographs of both Sebastian Stan and Chris Evans from the ACE Comic Con Phoenix. However, the most interesting thing about the image is that Chris Evans, who plays Captain America in the MCU has put both "Cap" and Nomad" under his signature.

On the other hand, Sebastian Stan who plays the role of Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier has written "I'm with Nomad" with an arrow pointing to signatu1re of Chris Evans. Marvel fans have been speculating that Captain America will become Nomad, particularly after the climax of Captain America: Civil War, which has set things especially well for Cap to take up the mantle of Nomad.

In a recent interview, Sebastian Stan said, "A fan said to me that you can add anything you want on Chris' face, and I was like, 'It's either a thought bubble or it's that, so. You can expect whatever you want. First of all, I wasn't even the first person to say that. Somebody else had gone out and said, 'He's Nomad,' or something. He is missing the star on his chest, so I don't know what that means. The way it's been going I would be on set and go, 'So you are missing the star on the chest, does that mean that you're [Nomad]?' I would probably discover it in the moment."

Chris Evans also talked about his beard in the trailer of Avengers Infinity War movie and said, "I think it’s cool. I think it kind of changes things up. We’ve seen Cap the same way so many times. He’s such a throwback, he’s such a classic. It kind of gives him a little bit of a modern vibe."
The third Avengers movie, Avengers Infinity War will hit screen of May 4th.

Black Panther Will Be a James Bond -Style Espionage Action Film

If you are an MCU fan who has seen all the MCU movies or at least the half of them starting from Iron Man, you will be able to see that Marvel efficiently infuses a bit of various genres into each of their film. For instance, Captain America Winter Soldier was a conspiracy thriller while Ant-Man was a well executed heist movie. On the other hand, Tom Holland’s Spider-man Homecoming was a coming of age teen drama while the recently announced Ant-Man 2 will be the first romantic comedy film from Marvel studios

So, most comic book fans are currently highly anticipated for Black Panther and Avengers Infinity War, as they are the next two marvel movies, which will hit the screen within two and four months respectively. However, several Marvel movie fans recently asked what type of a movie Black Panther will be. The director of the movie, Ryan Coogler has an exciting answer that the Black Panther movie will be a James Bond-style espionage action film

Coogler said, "When I first started talking to Marvel, one thing they were interested in was for Panther to be their version of James Bond, which I thought was incredibly interesting and exciting. It was a really outside-of-the-box way to look at T'Challa. There are some Bond films that I really, really like, and it gave me the opportunity to go watch some other ones."

This might sound a little bit strange to most of us because Black Panther is the leader and king of a highly-advanced nation and he was running around the Winter Soldier and others in broad daylight during Captain America Civil War. However, according to the director the upcoming Black Panther movie will reveal a very different side of the king and it was also focus a lot more on the element of secrecy.

Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri in Black Panther said, “Yeah, why not? She’s T’Challa’s Q. She's by his side with the technology he needs. The way she helps him is really cool" when asked about her role in the movie.  She added, "I hope Shuri can help people. Maybe you’re in school right now, and super smart and super intelligent, and people may be saying, 'You're a geek,' or whatever, making them feel bad. Maybe they can watch this film and be like, 'Man! Being smart or a scientist or super great at math is not a bad thing at all.'" Black Panther will hit theatres on February 16, 2018 and it is rumoured to set up Avengers Infinity War.

Tom Holland to Make a Cameo in Sony’s Venom

One of the highly anticipated superhero movies of 2018, Venom might include a brief cameo from the Spider-Man of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Tom Holland. After the failure of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” movie that stared Andrew Garfield, Sony decided to take a bold move by launching a shared universe with characters connected to Peter Parker/ Spider-Man.

As a result, Sony signed a deal with Marvel, which allowed the entry of Tom Holland as Spider-Man to the MCU with Captain America: Civil War. A year later, Marvel released a solo Spider-Man with Tom Holland playing the web slinger. As expected, the film was widely accepted by both critics and viewers and some even claimed that it was the best Spider-Man movie ever

In the meantime, Sony decided to take a bold movie and they planned their own superhero universe with the characters that were related to Man. They quickly announced a Venom movie and then tapped in Ruben Fleischer as the director and Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom. Still, it was unclear if Tom Holland’s Spidey would make an appearance in the movie or not

The head of MCU, Kevin Feige had stated that the two films are not related to one another and they both exist in their own universes. However, the producer of Sony, Amy Pascal caused confusion among fans by stating that Sony’s Venom movie will be “adjunct” to the MCU. Yet, it remained unclear whether both of these iconic Marvel characters would share the screen in Venom or not.

However, rumors surfacing around the internet claim that the head of development for Collider Video Kristian Harloff and Collider Video host Jon Schnepp stated that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be making an appearance in Sony’s Venom. The episode of Collider Movie Talk where this happens has not yet been released

If the MCU’s Spider-Man makes a cameo in Venom, then it will establish a major connection between the upcoming Marvel Avengers movies and the offshoot superhero universe. This might also mean that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will also survive Avengers Infinity war. Arden fans of Marvel comic books will be excited and they would be more than happy to welcome this connection

If this happens, then Marvel and Sony could work together and lay ground for Holland’s Spider-Man and Hardy’s Venom to battle each other or team up against a greater threat. In addition, it will also mean that Marvel will be able to use more Spiderman characters such as Black Cat and Silver Sable.

Captain America Might Not Exactly Be Nomad In Avengers Infinity War

After the drop of the first Avengers Infinity War, we have been hearing several fan theories such as Thor will be wielding a new weapon, Vision will die, Captain America/Steve Rogers will take up the mantle of Nomad, and Tony Stark will sacrifice his life to save the universe and more. However, we still have no clue on how many of these theories will come to fruition in the movie.

Nevertheless, a recent autograph signed by Sebastian Stan and Chris Evans to a fan hints that one of these popular Infinity War movie theories might be actually true. In a recent announcement, one of the directors of the third Avengers movie, Joe Russo talked about the Nomad speculation about the character of Chris Evans

He said, “Our approach to [Steve Rogers] was to deconstruct him, to take him in a different direction. Obviously you can't deal with a character called Captain America without dealing with the thematics behind that, so we wanted a relevancy to it and we wanted to put him in a position where he was questioning the chain of command."

He continued, "You'll see in these 'Avengers' films, he's on a very specific journey as a character. Some people have suspected that he may be Nomad heading into 'Avengers 3' but I wouldn't say that he is exactly Nomad, but he is the spirit of that character.”

The past of Captain America that Joe Russo has been referring was actually  a part of Captain America #180. In this famous comic book issue, Steve Rogers/ Captain America become disillusioned with the policies of the government, which in turn urged him to ditch his familiar identify and costume to become Nomad

The end of Captain America Civil War gives us a clear indication that Cap is on the verge of become a rogue agent. This is because he was unable to team up with Iron Man/ Tony Stark who supported the government concerning the Sokovia Accords

Cap and a few more Marvel Superheroes including Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Falcon, and Scarlett Witch decided they will not sign the accord. The heroes who took the side of Captain America will be most probably included in the fight against unknown forces in the city of Black Panther, Wakanda. However, we will have to patiently wait for the third installment of the Avengers movie to know more about Cap’s identity.

Avengers Infinity War to Feature a Scene with 40 Superheroes

The excitement and anticipation of Avengers Infinity War is on the rise, as Anthony Mackie who plays Sam Wilson/ Falcon recently hinted that 40 superheroes will share the screen at the very same time in one of the epic scenes in the upcoming Avengers movie. In addition, Mackie also talked about his experience while filming the Avengers movies and said that Avengers Infinity War is going to be the best MCU movie till date.

He said, “There was one day we were on set and were doing this scene that’s in the trailer where we’re all running to battle, you know, all of us are on set and it’s like forty superheroes. I look to my right and I see Tom Holland and Dave Bautista. I see them in the corner and Tom is literally the size of Dave’s leg, I don’t know what they’re talking about but Bautista jumps up and does a kick-punch move and I was like ‘Yo, you’re about to kill him!'”

When asked about the state of mind of the Marvel superheroes after the events that happened during Captain America : Civil War, the actor said, “Coming off such a huge battle that these characters are coming off of, everybody’s trying to find their footing again. Everybody’s trying to figure out where they are and how they’ll be accepted and looked upon, not only by the rest of the world but by the other heroes since we’ve been separated. So that’s kind the overall idea of where we’re coming from and how do we get out of that to save the world.”

Marvel has already announced that the Avengers will join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to fight against Thanos, who will be played by none other than Josh Brolin. Moreover, it has also been announced that some of the Marvel Superheroes might not survive Infinity war. However, before the highly anticipated Avengers movie hit the screen, Marvel will take us to the magnificent city of Wakanda.

Several marvel fans claim that the soul stone is located in Black Panther’s Wakanda.  In the trailer, we can see that Captain America, Bucky, Hulk, War Machine, Black Widow and Falcon are defending Wakanda from an unknown threat. So, it means that there is something very important in Wakanda. Black Panther will hit the screen by mid-February.

Why Avengers Should Be Afraid Of Thanos

If you are a Marvel comic book reader or an ardent superhero fan, you will certainly have a clear idea on what the Mad Titan, Thanos is capable of. It is evident that the arrival of Thanos in pursuit of the Infinity Stones will not end well for our Marvel superheroes. However, causal audience and movie watchers whose only exposure to Marvel is through Avengers movies or Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) often wonder why the arrival of Infinity War villain, Thanos is such a big deal.

The head of MCU, Kevin Feige is not concerned about the fact and he recently claimed that they have nothing to worry, because Avengers Infinity War is going to reveal why the Mad Titan, Thanos is the greatest threat that the Avengers have not yet faced. In addition, Kevin Feige also hinted that some of our favorite Marvel heroes might not even survive the wrath of Thanos.

During a recent meeting at the Comic-Con Experience in Brazil, Feige said, "Remember the end of Avengers, the very end of the movie he turns around in the chair, and you realize something bad is coming. We’ve been teasing him for years, and the trick is, when you tease something for that long you have to deliver." He added, "Within the first five minutes of Infinity War, people will understand why Thanos is the biggest and baddest villain in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

It was evident that Kevin Feige will not reveal what happens in the movie or who will fall prey to the destruction by Thanos and his Black Order. One of the interesting theories floating around the internet claims that Thanos will attack the Nova Corps in the beginning of the movie to retrieve the power stone. This might give fans a glimpse on the strength and power of the purple colored Mad Titan, Thanos.

Another interesting fan theory suggests that the giant ship we see at the end of Thor Ragnarok belongs to Thanos. Thanos wreck destruction to the survived Asgardians, kill a bunch of them, and then lays smackdown on the Hulk and the God of Thunder. This will illustrate the raw strength of Thanos, as if two of the strongest members of the Avengers can’t stand tall with him, then who will prevent the Mad Titan from acquiring his precious infinity stone? Guess we will have to wait for a couple of months to find this out.

What You Need To Know About Avengers Infinity War Movie

The Marvel Cinematic Universe that began with Iron Man back in the year 2008 has surpassed ten years and the cinematic universe is currently in Phase 3. Both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of MCU comprised of 6 films apiece but the third phase is even bigger and more interesting. One of the most anticipated comic book movies of all time, Avengers Infinity War will finally hit the screen this year along with Black Panther and Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The Russo brothers who directed Ant-Man, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War will be directing Avengers Infinity War Movie and its untitled follow-up which is scheduled for release in the upcoming year. It has been confirmed that the Avengers Infinity War Movie will release on May 4, 2018 in the USA and on April 27, 2018 in the UK. Let us take a brief look at what we currently know of the most anticipated marvel movie ever.

Trailer

The first Avengers infinity war footage was released a few months back and it teased an epic showdown of Marvel superheroes against the Mad Titan, Thanos who is in search of the Infinity Stones. Even though, Hawkeye, and Ant-Man were missed out from the Avengers infinity war leaked trailer, it has been confirmed that both these superheroes will be there in the movie. Moreover, Hawkeye might take over the Ronan persona too but there has not yet been any official regarding it.

Avengers Infinity War Plot

The official plot or synopsis of the Avengers Infinity War movie is as follows. “As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artefacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain”.

The Beginning

In a recent interview, Kevin Feige, who is the boss of Marvel Cinematic Universe stated, “Within the first five minutes of Infinity War people will understand why Thanos is the biggest and baddest villain in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.” From the above comment, it is evident that the film will begin by showing what Thanos is really capable of. So, we can expect a lot of destruction and may be the death of a superhero, which is rumoured to be none other than the Web Slinger, Spider Man.
However, Marvel recently announced that they are planning to do a sequel to Spider-Man Homecoming and Tom Holland will reprise the role of Peter Parker/Spider Man. So, killing of Spider-Man doesn’t make sense but Marvel will be sill able to bring Spidey despite killing him with the help of the infinity stones.
