Ryan Coogler Writes an Emotional Letter to Black Panther Fans

Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther is not just another success MCU movie that will beat box office records instead it is a flat out phenomenon, which was an absolute treat to MCU fans and casual movie lovers.  As per reports, MCU’s Black Panther has earned 202 million dollars in just three days after its opening. The only other Avengers movie that has acquired more money in the box office was The Avengers

As Marvel fans and movie lovers are enjoying the massive success of Black Panther, the director of the movie, Ryan Coogler is speechless but he still does have a few things to say to fans. Ryan Coogler, who has enjoyed success with Creed and Fruitvale Station has made history, as Black Panther is the highest grossing film in the United States, which was directed by a black director. Coogler celebrated the success of Black Panther by writing an emotional letter to shows his gratitude to fans.

Coogler Wrote, “I am struggling to find the words to express my gratitude at this moment, but I will try. Filmmaking is a team sport. And our team was made up [of] amazing people from all over the world who believe in this story. Deep down we all hoped that people would come to see a film about a fictional country on the continent of Africa, made up of a cast of people of African descent.”

He added, “Never in a million years did we imagine that you all would come out this strong. It still humbles me to think that people care enough to spend their money and time watching our film- But to see people of all backgrounds wearing clothing that celebrates their heritage, taking pictures next to our posters with their friends and family, and sometimes dancing in the lobbies of theaters– often moved me and my wife to tears. For the people who bought out theaters, who posted on social about how lit the film would be, bragged about our awesome cast, picked out outfits to wear, and who stood in line in theaters all over the world– all before seeing the film.”

He concluded his letter by adding, “To the press who wrote about the film for folks who hadn’t yet seen it, and encouraged audiences to come out. And to the young ones, who came out with their parents, with their mentors, and with their friend. Thank you for giving our team of filmmakers the greatest gift: The opportunity to share this film, that we poured our hearts and souls into, with you.”

It is possible that Coogler might return to direct Black Panther 2 but there hasn’t been any official confirmation. However, it is evident that Kevin Feige and Marvel Studious will love to have the visionary and extremely talented Ryan Coogler back. Black Panther and some of his allies will be back for Avengers Infinity War, which is just a couple of months away from release.
